Echo Lake Camp

Berkeley Day Camp Echo Lake Camp Berkeley Tuolumne Camp

Come to Echo Camp!
Echo Lake Camp offers an inspiring setting that is an important part of the camping experience. The mountain vistas, sunsets, rugged pines and starry nights are all part of the setting.  The emphasis is on learning new skills and having fun in a safe environment.  Campers will have opportunities to swim, fish, hike, practice archery, canoe, complete the ropes course, and study nature.

Echo Lakes serve as one of the trailheads into the wondrous Desolation Wilderness--a hiker's paradise of over 100 miles of marked trails ranging from beginning to very advanced. Hikes will lead you through glorious meadows of wildflowers, dramatic granite formations, waterfalls, and pristine, crystal-clear glacial lakes where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and moments of solitude.

Echo Lake Youth Camp is a five-day overnight camping program for children ages 8 to 13 years.  Please contact the Camps Office for dates and rates.

Echo Lake Camp offers many different opportunities during our summer season (approx. June 28 through August 21) including a family camp (through July 4th), group rentals, drop in camping and youth camps for ages 8-12.

The Counselor-in-Training program, for youth between the ages of 14 and 16, provides young adults the opportunity to develop leadership skills, work with children, enjoy the beautiful Sierras and spend time with their peers.  Each C.I.T. session is one week long.

Please call for a brochure or to talk to the camp manager for more details about events at this terrific camp!
